If you subscribe to the theory that "less is more", you will love this Fall 2011 fashion trend!

Very little effort is needed to get this look as it's all about simplicity.. and you won't find a ruffle or frill anywhere in sight. There is always a place in fashion for masculine silhouettes, and simple knits might be considered part of a "menswear-inspired" trend. Basic crew neck sweaters, solid cable knits, casual fit jumpers.. nothing too tight or too embellished, just a simple look.

Choose colours that might be missing in your closet.. if you already have lots of black sweaters, how about a cream cable knit, or bold shade of red..? And if you already own plenty of bold colours, this is the time for a tweedy grey.. the new colour will add a fresh look.
Trend Tip: It might be tempting to pair your simple knits with jeans & smart trousers, but this season you should wear them with a skirt! Choose a simple pencil skirt, or for a more fashion forwarc look, consider mixing & matching your fabrics.. a simple knit over a silk skirt is tres chic! Add a skinny belt for the perfect touch.
